Early Transition Attempt
First programmatic recreation of the djay transition. Beat alignment is rough — tempos fighting each other.
Beat-Warped Wobble Problem
Each beat individually time-mapped. Creates audible speed fluctuations — like someone tapping the tempo button.
Beat-Locked Drop
Improved alignment, but beat detection errors still cause micro-timing shifts.
Constant Stretch Breakthrough
5 AM. One constant time-stretch at 88/95.7 = 0.9195. Night and day difference. No wobble. The foundation.
Refined Spotify-Style
Smooth crossfade like Spotify/djay would do it. Drop timing is closer, but transition still feels... late.
First Looped Drop Snap
All Saathiya stems cut to zero at the downbeat. KG enters at full volume instantly. No more "late" feeling.
Flute Loop — 2-Bar
Too short. The riff feels like it's on repeat immediately.
Flute Loop — 4-Bar
Full phrase. Bars 1-2 are the main riff, bars 3-4 have a melodic variation. Much more natural.
Bass Distortion — Light
Subtle warmth. Almost too clean.
Bass Distortion — Medium
The sweet spot. Grit on the mids, clean sub preserved.
Bass Distortion — Heavy
Too aggressive. Overpowers the flute.

Day 2: February 7 — Midnight Flute Hunt
12 AM → 1 AM · 1 hour · Pure R&D, no full render
Exploration session
Tested 5 flute source positions across the song. Experimented with crossfade durations
(500ms, 681ms, 1362ms, 2727ms). Found that 290.4s is the best loop boundary.
No full remix rendered — just isolated loop tests.
Day 3: February 14 — Zero Drum Restarts
7 AM → 9 AM · 2 hours · Architecture fix
Final Track Final
Full continuous KG drum section (no more 4-bar loop restarts). Corrected stretch rate
from 88/95.703 to 88/95.0 after discovering local BPM differs from global. 134ms circular
crossfade on flute, volume dialed back to 0.57.
